The Friday Cocktail
It might go without saying that the ladies here enjoy a good drink every now and then. While a glass of wine goes well with dinner, and champagne is never a bad idea, sometimes a cocktail is more exciting. We all have our favorite spots for fancy drinks but sometimes we want to mix one up in the comfort of our own homes. Amateur mixologists that we are, we like to test different cocktail recipes and tinker until we get them just right. We are convinced that all of this effort is improving our hostessing abilities, because every great hostess has a well-stocked bar and a few good drinks up her sleeve. We figured we should share our findings, our trials and errors, and all of our favorites with more than just the three of us. And so, we are happy to launch a weekly column:
We’ll be sharing a cocktail recipe every week — from classic mixes to drinks we make up on the spot. And is there any better day than Friday to try a new mixed drink? We hope you’ll join us as we fill our glasses and toast to all things good. We hope even more that you’ll fill your glasses and toast us back.
